This is one of the other great districts of Mexico City that deserves a visit. One of my primary reasons for always paying a visit here when I am in Mexico City is for shopping purposes. This is a great place for me to pick up inexpensive trinkets and souvenirs for friends and family. A lot of the items found here are handmade crafted items. Incidentally, if you are thinking about getting a tattoo or piercing this is the place to have it done. One a great way to remember your vacation in Mexico by sporting a tattoo for the rest of your life.
Another great adventure when shopping here is you can do a bit of haggling. It is not considered an insult and seems to be enjoyed by the vendors, of course that’s based on you not taking it to the extreme.
You will find Coyoacan interesting as in the center of it there are two major squares being the Plaza Hidalgo and Jardin Centenario. It’s not just all about spending money here either. At any given time, you may see a group burst into a lively customary dance performance. This is what adds to the interest of being here you never know what you may see next.
It’s a favored hang out of many of the university students, and after you have paid a visit here once, you will understand why. There is no opportunity for boredom and food and refreshments are affordable.
Aside from all of this, one can visit many important museums here. It’s a very distinct place for being able to diversify your day. You can learn about some of the customs, culture and history of Mexico from the many museums, then enjoy some local entertainment at the same time.
