Museo Nacional de Antropologia

If you have, a taste for fine, museums then do not pass up seeing Museo Nacional de Antropologia when you are visiting Mexico City. Chances are you are already planning a visit to Chapultepec park and if so then you won't have to go far to enjoy what this museum has to offer. The reason being is the Museum is located in the center of the park. It is by no means small with it 26 halls. You are going to be able to enjoy seeing many fine pieces of pottery and textiles. I have to admit I spent most of my time in awe when viewing the traditional costumes and religious icons. In fact, I spent so much time here that I didn't have the opportunity to see all the rest of what the Museum has to offer. This no doubt calls for a trip back to Mexico City where I can plan to enjoy the rest of Museo Nacional de Antropologia.

Aside from all that is contained in this Museum you are going to find the architecture of the building itself magnificent. It was designed in 1963. The halls encompass a large pond shaded with a most beautiful square umbrella. This is truly a place just to go, sit, and mull over all that you have seen so far. Don't get too comfortable, as there is much more for you to enjoy.

The one exhibit I made sure not to miss was the Stone of the Sun. Then there are just too many more to mention. Besides, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise element that is in store for you when you visit here.

All too often Museums can tend to become a bit boring after you have been there for awhile. I can honestly say though here at this Museum there is just too much to see to even think about becoming bored.
